Im looking for a current guide for configuring keycloak as an IDP for aws as an SP, as it seems the the guides i have found have resulted in sadness, specially SAML errors when trying to login. Some direction here would be wonderful.

There is no guide for that. It will be better if you provide reproducible example what you are doing and what’s the error.
